This is fantastic! I fall into the category of someone who works with documents and needs to coordinate information from various sources, so these moves by Anthropic and Claude are very exciting. Even the early stuff seems to fill a need in my workflow.

Wake me up in a few years when it’s mature. The rest of you can deal with all the screw-ups and crashes and poison training data and moral guardrails built by SJWs and Mossad operatives.

consider this publication your alarm clock.

This technology has been around since the 90s.

the fact that it's all over the place NOW and bad actors are doing their utmost to abuse it NOW means it is absolutely mature enough for anything you're likely to want it for.

AI since the 90s? Really? I was very heavily into tech up to the point of building my own toll fraud devices to cheat the phone company so I could make free phone calls and I don’t remember that. There were procedural text generators that would translate English into Ebonics. but that was about it. Slap mah fro!

one could even make the argument it's been around since the 1790s. the mathematical concepts are not new.

IIRC the first "real" neural network was the perceptron, which was first designed in 1958.

clearly we're going to have to do a special series on AI history...

LOL neural networks, I remember those. Nobody could get one to work and they were like fusion, always five years in the future.

And the IBM computer that sang Daisy Bell was Miku Hatsune.

yeah...

it's been a bit more than 5 years, gramps, they're a trillion-dollar industry now

What, vocaloids? Dude Miku came out like a decade or more ago.

Or the AI bubble that's going to pop like all bubbles?
