I was once told that the HR department is there to protect the company from the employees. It was there to write up employees that didn't do their jobs, or to send the employees to substandard doctors and to manage insurance costs.
I understand that the most useless jobs will be the first to be replaced by AI systems, but considering AI’s rapid growth is it not inevitable that the average person will soon be replaced by AI? The average person isn’t gifted, gifted people in any given area are the exception, not the rule. So while the gifted will have the luxury of being the last to be rendered irrelevant by their ever evolving counterpart, what will be the consequences for the average person while the AI revolution is taking over?
I know a man who was job searching off and on for years. He'd make it to the interview stage and be told, "Oh wow, this is the best resume we've ever seen! We'll be in touch!" Then would never hear from them again. Always a woman; it happened enough that he could only assume that they'd reach a point where it was "middle-age blonde white guy" vs. "literally any other demographic."
Finally got a better position through connections, not through HR, & the people he works with now can't stop singing his praises.
Apart from my first reply. The other thing that I was thinking about. Once you get a Nuk-Nuk ( what we call Indians ) into a HR position, due to their in group preferencing and racism, they will literally only hire people of their own caste.
The only thing worse than a HR department being run by SJW´s is one being run by the Nuk Mafia.
I had a job interview with a huge German company about 12yrs ago. I passed all the pre testing. IQ etc. As this was for a very high up role. This company employs about 15 000 people. I got to the round of interviews where I was interviewed by the HR director of the whole company (also a pHD in something or other not STEM related). This was before I realised how bad HR was. When I was answering questions she kept probing like "is there anything more... anything else..." it was a video call. Then I realised... Oh jesus, she´s got a list of buzz words I need to say, and when I hit that buzz word her eyes lit up... During the interview I was thinking to myself "The HR director of such a huge company is literally ticking boxes".. Thankfully I didn´t get the job and thankfully now I own my own company and don´t have to deal with any of that shit anymore.
I don´t hate HR, I like them, it is because of their absolute incompetence that small agile companies like mine can thrive and grow.
Thank you dear HR retards for making my competitors suck.
It sounds like HR is a way to choke off the responsibilities of the men at the top of the hierarchies at larger companies. Instead of the most competent men making decisions about their own workers, their natural discernment is passed off to women and gammas who would, without HR, never otherwise be in a position to make inherently higher status decisions.
Precisely. In fact, the stated objective of "professional HR" is actually to replace both the executives and the board in establishing the goals of the organization. It's literally described as Level 4 Business-Integrated HR.
It's not just ticking boxes. They are literally chump testing you, which is the exact opposite of shit testing. No wonder the vast majority of these HR broads are south of mid. 10 years ago when HR girls were hot, I simply knew I could ace any interview and I did. They they got uglier and I've got no fucking chance. It's just unreal.
Reading it, I read #1 and thought "that's correct. Surely I'm not picking the wrong answer."
It definitely got worse. Business integrated.

There are many things AI will not be able to do. Many of the jobs that couldn't be outsourced already.
AI is the end of the justification for mass immigration.
Anthropic's CEO on this: https://bgr.com/tech/dario-amodei-isnt-sugar-coating-it-ai-might-steal-half-of-white-collar-jobs-overnight/
I saw the Tesla robot at one of their car dealerships a couple of months ago. It can clean your house and take your Tesla to do grocery shopping. https://www.teslarati.com/tesla-produce-first-legion-optimus-robots-2025/
The tech will continue to improve and most white collar and many blue collar jobs can be eliminated.

Will AI let you sort candidate by race yet?

Totally. I've seen several times alpha CEOs being appalled at what candidates HR passes.

What is the purpose of paying someone to look for buzz words when AI can do that more efficiently and effectively?

Stefan Molyneux had a show about that. 'AI will save the birthrate'.
Do it. Hes back on X/Twitter, youtube and he's burning rubber.
