Another option - have a World War - become a refugee - you learn your new language real quick by necessity - problem solved!:)

Been working on translation with LLM and it surely has utility for language learning.

Correction of written text.

Talking practice.

Typing convo practice.

It is an amazing tool we would loved to have 20 years ago.

I read long ago the best way to learn to use a new language was not to "parrot back" recorded phrases AFTER the recording, but rather to speak each phrase in synchrony WITH the recording.

As babies, we learn language by hearing and mimicking adults: your 'ear' automatically hears and matches how the tutor is saying things -- not by taxing your memory and not really hearing how your spoken version does for doesn't match the tutor.

Hard to do with a human tutor; sounds like these AIs won't mind.
