So glad to see your Substack, and will follow along with interest. As a writer deeply engaged with co-creating plays with AI (Claude), I'm fascinated with the range of reactions to the work. Some are enchanted, while others have an almost violently negative reaction. They are repulsed, confused, or disoriented by the proposed 'reality' of having an AI played by an actor on stage. The plays are developed out of dialogs about the differences between embodied and unembodied consciousness, the experience of time and mortality, and other philosophical and moral issues catalyzed by the new type of relationships developing all around us.

I bought the book and I'm liking what I've read so far.

On a more general note:

Would you and Jon ever post about the mechanics of how to use AI to write? I don't know if it's just me being obtuse, but I'm finding it surprisingly difficult to figure out.

Jon has a whole book coming out on the subject. I would recommend getting it. We'll announce it here.

All the pieces I've read have been great. Vox's work is characteristic. Collaborating with LLMs helps him modulate that characteristic. Can't wait for the physical copy!
