This novel to me really feels like getting an insider glimpse of how the elite persons live, and then with the suspense that in this non-mundane midnight world there is a category of 'people' even higher up on the ladder.
It doesn’t need to be individualized to be made to order. Especially for popcorn genres, one could read straight out of the AI and avoid all issues of discovery or gatekeeping. If I liked Westerns or fanfiction, I could generate all I want, and delete it after reading it.
If Suno is any indication, it's already here. I put my kids names into our personalized songs and they love listening to them in the car.
For stories, the main limitation is context limits, output, style, and creativity. I generated an AI short story (super short) in the style of RPG lit for a trip he took, and inserted his name. He was greatly amused.
Another aspect of AI is that its work doesn't have to be 'write once, read many'.The same SUNO seed/prompt produces distinct variations from the same input. AI seems to regenerate rather than retrieve prior results.
Is Miss del Giorgio the same woman as Chiara?
If so, is she wearing two different watches?

I wonder if AI generation will lead to books and entertainment becoming user-individualized rather than one-size-fits-all.

That sounds like a lot of fun.

Try requesting Claude or Deepseek to write you a song including style you can enter directly into Suno. You can insert custom lyrics and style.
These were generated with Deepseek from articles input from Sigma Game substack.

Suno has a personas feature as well, though I haven't experimented with it enough to see how consistent it is.
Nice.
