I still use Chat, not an agent or Code integration, for exactly this reason, so I am always either ahead of any problems because I read it first, or it Im going to just try things it writes, I assume it will be absolutely destructive and the environment is set up for that.

A lot of these AI "mishaps" have reached Spinal Tap-like proportions, in that they've gone from "that's stupid" to "that's so stupid it has to be made up" to "that's so stupid no one COULD make it up!"
I'm kind of hoping the new movie has them trying to use AI to write some new songs, or take over as drummer or driving the tour bus or something.

When I first read this news I was laughing until I realized that this kerfuffle happened in PRODUCTION.
Having the AI writing executable code directly is already madness but doing it in production is inconceivable.
I shiver just thinking being responsible for this at work. I would be arrested and epsteined.

Most companies likely have a backup site at another location that they can bring online when the primary site is down for whatever reason.
Gotta test for restorability too.
This all sounds like a mix of Skynet and just Indians... maybe the humans will send Poopjeet back in time to stop Judgement day.

Sounds like a few Indian s/w people I've dealt with. One tried to gain DBA access to a system and then slashed my car's tires when he was fired.
